for this fascinating history of Tai Chi.

My first Tai Chi master did say that, while most people viewed it as being closer to the internal arts, it could more accurately be viewed as a soft martial art.

I'd never learned about this apparent dichotomy or this history.

Most of us were there for the health benefits which are incredibly obvious even after brief practice.
