I've met Johanson a few times, but my collaborators with the Hadar material have been his successors.

I like to remind the paleoanthros that I work on the animals that ate their animals.

We named an extinct crocodile from Olduvai Gorge Crocodylus anthropophagus. There are Homo Habilis remains from the same horizon that bear crocodile feeding traces.
