Allowing an exception to noise laws for religious reasons - used to set a standard to what people can do to disrupt the rest of the neighborhood - is simply ridiculous. I don't necessarily like the church bell either, but that's 20 seconds, not an hour.

So all the nearby residents have to listen to Muslim prayers blasted across loudspeakers?
