Sufi religious leader kills follower after claiming he could bring said follower back to life [View all]

A Sufi religious leader killed a follower after making a lot of noise that he could bring dead people back to life;

Muhammad Niaz (40), a daily wage worker and father of six children, volunteered for the miracle.

On Wednesday, Niaz was placed on a table in a square and his hands and legs were bound. Sabir then sliced his throat as people looked on.

Meanwhile, an anonymous caller informed the police about 'the miracle' but by the time police reached at the spot, Niaz had died.

Witnesses said Sabir uttered some words to bring him back to life, but when he realised his 'miracle' had failed, he tried to flee.

Sabir was arrested for murder.

Normally I'd be saying facepalm, but not here. This is just sad.
