13. Yogurt!

If your critters are peeing in naughty places, they might be trying to tell you that their bladders hurt. In other words, they might have bladder infections.

A veterinarian told me to try giving the affected cat or dog a tablespoon of plain lowfat yogurt a couple of times a day for several days. This can help clear up a mild bladder problem.

I've been doing this for years, and it works like a charm.

My dogs and cats adore yogurt, but if yours resist, try putting some on the paws and they will lick it off.

Are you using something with enzymes to wash the pillows? I use Oxy-clean because it breaks down the faint urine smell, which can become an attractant for the animal.

One more thing. Once in a while one of the cats will pee in a bad place to register a complaint. Usually this happens when we go away for the weekend and leave our adult daughter in charge. I've been laying a flannel-backed vinyl tablecloth over our bed before we go away, to discourage the cat complaints.
