They are: The Quickening; and The Shining Isle.

Both are make great reading.

I am aware that Germanic peoples also believed that their Gods/Goddesses could appear in the body of an ordinary seeming person, which was part of the reason for their laws about offering hospitality to strangers who came to their homes. The 'stranger' could be one of the High Ones in disguise.
