Our voting participation rates are pathetic, especially for down-ballot stuff like State Board of Education. People with that agenda are fanatic about getting their people to the polls and count on the rest of us not showing up.

It works! And unfortunately, this state is so big that textbook publishers adapt books nationwide to what our wacko SBOE members ram through.

We have to figure out how to motivate more people to bother to vote.
