They just released 1.3 which includes a group finder like WoWs so forming groups is a lot easier now. They did server transfers so there are several servers with heavy populations during most parts of the day making it easy to find groups. They've promised a new planet within the next few months made for endgame play. They have 3 new raids with higher difficulties, a few new dungeons, and they made it so you can put mods in social gear so you have more customization. For instance a Sith warrior could put warrior mods in the imperial trooper armor and wear it and still be effective. They added a new warzone and another one is planned here soon. They ranked PVP groups now as well. Sadly, slicing is still nerfed.
