Rocky Colavito returns for statue unveiling: 'I am thankful God chose me to play in Cleveland' [View all]

As a lifelong Indians fan, I can truthfully say that I don’t think you could name another player in the history of the team as beloved as Rocky Colavito. (With maybe the exception of Bob Feller)

This is a nice article about how the fans still turn out in droves for him.

My husband and I met Rocky at a baseball card show about 30 years ago, and he signed an old baseball from that era we happened to have. He was as gracious as ever. It was such an honor to meet him. He was my husband’s favorite Indian.
