The freaking World Series tickets were printed. I had a transistor radio. Listened to all the away games. One by one the season the title slipped away. Gene Mauch living in infamy. But I’ll be a Phillie Fan to the end. Got my 1980 World Series Champ Ring and a shrine to Michael Jack in the garage.
