...buying an RV and living in it, so we subscribed to a couple industry magazines to help us sort out our options. What we mainly learned is that most manufacturers' profit derives from short cuts and false economy. Crappy materials, poor designs and specifications, and slipshod assembly, and the ones with the best reputations are the ones we can't possibly afford. Most owners will likely use their RVs and trailers just a handful of times, maybe a couple times a year, and they're built to reflect that.
