13. Yes, and no. In 1961, the NFL decreed that all teams were to have a helmet logo.

The majority of teams didn’t have a logo at that time. I think only the Colts, Eagles, Rams, Cardinals, Cowboys (then one year old), and Redskins had helmet logos then.

Every team complied, except Cleveland, although they had numbers on the helmet for a few years in the 1950s. Finally, in 1964, the league designed a logo for them; an interlocking CB. The Browns put the logos on the helmets before the first exhibition game, but the players stripped them off before running onto the field. And their helmets have remained unadorned ever since.
