It's their job. tfg and the Saudis are toxic and getting worse. He is beholden to the PGA as were the others that didn't resist money that was probably more than they could ever expect to win in prize money through the rest of their careers on the PGA Tour. Phil Mickelson has ended his endorsement value for $200mil in bonesaw money. Kinda looks like he doesn't care about his former All American good guy reputation because it's gone forever.
