An even more crass version of 'Dumb & Dumber'. It might have been a good script at some point. Likely got made because Spade and Von were attached. David Spade is 60YO playing a 20-something(?) busboy ?!

It is miles away from what I was working on. What I have going is more like "Big Lebowski" or "Dazed and Confused"

But I still like that movies are starting to explore other dynamics of restaurants. Reddit has a whole sub which is true restaurant stories and they are all crazy. There is an audience for a decent movie that uses that stuff because so many people (about 30% of adults) have worked in food service at some point in their lives.
