with other women through--but their pain is mine (I just can't at all.) But laws that make an additional pain of any woman's failed fertility by suggesting her care is considered an abortion that should be denied disturbs me. Loss requires closure. Living with a loss in such an enduring way is adding injury to insult.

I have a lot of different women's stories to reflect. There are so many ways our lives and fertility (or lack of) are judged or litigated. I am proud if I give those voices immediacy and realness to my readers.
