It describes how elites are willing to do good as long as it serves their self-interest; how the thought leaders like to redefine change in “winner-friendly” ways. Yet, they are not willing to stop doing any harm they cause. The book calls for a massive change in the power structure, from the groud up in order to build more egalitarian and robust institutions that work for everyone, not just those at the top; democracy in action.
