The man who made the recording made the news because he had just plead guilty to drug and weapons charges. He had prior run-ins with the law involving felony offenses. Yet, those who usually complain about the "gun show loophole" were suddenly upset that this man be held to account for his gun law violations.

Granted, they see him as vital to exposing the problem of police brutality but he is, nonetheless, a man with an extensive criminal history partaking in a culture that is responsible for the vast majority of violent crime, i.e. the illicit drug trade. Yet, he was granted far more indulgence simply because he serves an agenda than those who will never break a law or unduly threaten another soul. The latter are vilified, insulted, and denigrated at every turn.

What is the point of having a gun show loophole law -- or any other law, for that matter -- if the application of the law has no relevance beyond whether or not those calling for the law like you as a person and would rather judge you as a person based on their personal prejudices?

Gun control advocates would do better if they concerned themselves with their souls as much as they concern themselves with the .22 revolver my FIL gave me when my MIL passed.
