Lamb’s son hit Byrd’s wife in a suspected DUI. Lamb arrived on the scene and, realizing his son may be arrested, attempted to execute Byrd with a head shot.

Lamb was not on duty and was recorded attempting a murder. A federal court ruled QI covered him.
