1. As a former school bus driver and driver trainer, this story makes me so sad.

Air brakes and air brake systems need to be properly maintained and properly adjusted in order to work right. Bus drivers need to be properly trained on all models and types of busses that they will be driving for their job, especially in what to do and not do when warning indicators activate. This tragic crash is an example of what can happen when drivers are not properly trained and vehicles are not maintained. I'm glad to see that training and maintenance standards were improved after the investigation, but I'm deeply saddened that it took a fatal crash to do it.
