She died of old age in 1994. This tells you that the flea collar problem has been going on forever.

We had purchased a flea collar for her, and the next thing you know, this normally healthy cat started to go downhill fast. Many trips to the vet, no help. We finally started to wonder what had we done that was different? Flea collar. Took it off of her, and she immediately started to improve.

When you put those things on your pets, that horrid poison goes everywhere. Imagine putting a flea collar on your pet that will last for eight months. Imagine how strong it has to be to last for eight months.

I took an environmental class in college. The professor discussed flea collars, and said 'you might as well fill your pet full of gasoline. Same effect.'
