10. biff's half brother got bionic hips

xrayed his hips at 2 yo, and he had only shallow pockets, no real sockets. he was 120lbs.
ortho vet said common replacement hips wouldnt do. he was too young, too big and too active. hauled him up to uw madison for the bleeding edge. i always said about him that he was 200lbs of drive in a 100lb bag. yeah, recovery was tough. and of course, they do them 1 at a time, so, all that x2. had 1 surgery called off, too.
they held up well. he’s 12 1/2, and tho his knees hurt, he’s still in great shape.

would have been fun to hang out in madtown for 5 days ea time, except for the part where the 2nd trip it was -20. trapped in a hotel w no msnbc, just cnn, the wk michael wolfe’s 1st tsf book came out. and i’m a smoker, so had to go freeze in my car.
ah memories. the things we do for our pets.
