Last night was pretty epic [View all]

I fell asleep on my side, as usual, and woke up at about 12:30 because one of the fur babies was draped across my arm. I couldn't really tell who it was and I fell right back to sleep. Woke up an hour later to realize it was CARYS who was snuggled right up tight to me! Carys, who won't let me touch her during the day!!

When she saw I was awake she started rolling and rubbing her head against my arm. When I moved, she stretched out on top of me, purring like crazy, and fell back asleep. Well, until Gryff decided she needed grooming and the best place for him to sit was on my shoulder. Eventually he let me roll back on to my side, Carys snuggled next to me. He re-settled on my arm, Arthur was taking up about 50% of my pillow and Madoc curled up in the bend of my knees. Sian avoided the crowd.

I finally managed to fall back to sleep at about 4 and 'overslept' until 6:30. The kidcats were very understanding about their late breakfast.

It dawned on me that it was about a year ago, right now, that Carys did that exact same thing. She'd been here a month and was VERY nervous and reclusive. Then one night, at just about 12:30, she patty pawed and kitten kissed me awake and spent about an hour just snuggling with me. Last night she more than doubled that time. Maybe next year she's triple it. Hopefully sooner.
