Whether you do or not, perhaps try to put the food outside the car and soon into a trap with the food inside it. Safest in a garage or enclosed place where it can feel safe enough to leave the car. Maybe disguise the trap somehow. That's the best I can come up with unless you know a "whisperer" who can mimic the "mom call" and talk it out into the open and maybe to the person doing the calling.
