indoor cats have been sniffing and checking him out. You have been holding him, so fleas could have jumped from Tudor to you to the other cats.

I had one cat years ago who was an escape artist. He would slip out a door faster than lightning and return a day or two later, usually with fleas. I had a terrible infestation of them one time which took a couple weeks to eliminate from the cat, furniture, carpet, and my clothing. After that, I always secured him somewhere (bathroom or his carrier) before opening my door to make sure that he didn't get out.
