My gut says they've borrowed the dog, hoping it will scare away the ferals.

If it is a borrowed dog, once it is gone the ferals will just go right back to where they were. AND some of them den next to the front and side of the house, sheltered by the overgrowth of weeds, junk trees and shrubs. If they'd just reinforce the deck and clean up around their house, the ferals would probably leave. I think they are renters so maybe they figure that's their landlord's responsibility.

I am keeping an eye out for any of the ferals who den there. I think it's about 5. Meanwhile I guess I will just have to wait and see if Tabby shows up for Dewi.
