12. It looks like the only hard hit place in Michigan is the southernmost part of the state

For the most part the thunder was pretty distant but that didn't matter to the kidcats. When I went outside at about 8, there was a massive but very faint rainbow.

I just took a stroll and didn't see any unusual number of broken limbs. One tomato plant had to be re-staked. All in all I took a whole lot of unnecessary precautions but I'd rather be prepared. Now to just get through the next two days which are going to be miserably hot and humid, along with the potential for more storms. I was out at 7, this morning, and the air was absolutely thick with moisture.
