We kept him going for almost 5 years with Vetoryl and many trips to the vet.

His belly was swollen, but it didn't bother him until the very end (when there were other bad things going on with him). He was 10 years old when we had to say goodbye.

I think that you can keep your dog for quite a long time. Speak to your vet and do some research on the disease. Best of luck. We try to do the best we can for our little pals.
