Carys took snuggles to a whole new level, this morning. [View all]

She hopped up on the bed so I held her and gave her some kisses and scritches. She stayed for a few minutes and then, as usual, she headed to the edge of the bed. Then she suddenly turned around and RAN back to me. That was followed by nuzzles, head butts and kisses. Then she draped herself over my shoulder and snuggled against my neck and rubbed her head against my face. Her purrs were absolutely resonating. Arthur and Gryff were looking at her like, 'Hey! That's our job!!'

For the most part she still keeps her distance during the day, if I'm not sitting down, but at bedtime and early morning she's the sweetest, most affectionate little girl. And sometimes I get the feeling that she isn't running away as much as she's wanting me to chase her and play. That's when I deploy the whiffle balls. She LOVES to chase whiffle balls and leaves Gryff in her wake.

Even though it was never the plan, I'm so glad that she ended up staying with me and the boys.
