‘Dozens and dozens’ of cats, many that are pregnant, found needing rescue in Middle Tennessee after property was abandoned
A family alerted the cat rescue to the problem after they said the trailer home next door was abandoned and the animals moved onto their property.

DEKALB CO., Tenn. (WSMV) - An animal rescue organization said Tuesday that “dozens and dozens” of cats and kittens were in need of rescue after the animals took over the area near an abandoned property and neighbors spent “a fortune” to try and help to no avail.

True Rescue wrote on Facebook that the rescue happened in DeKalb County.

“A kind family reached out to us after inheriting a cat issue on their property after the trailer home next door had been abandoned,” the rescue said. “The cats were living and procreating there, causing a serious problem, with dozens and dozens of cats needing rescue and vetting (especially the spay/neuter part).”
