Protecting newly planted perennials from freezing [View all]
It's currently (6am on Friday) 40 degrees and rain is predicted for most of the day... with the temps gradually dropping. Forecast says 33 degrees by 5am Saturday morning with snow a good part of the day.
Should I cover them before the rain? Or let them get that moisture and just cover them tonight before the temps head down to the 40s?
(These are flowers that came in 4" pots and were planted about a week ago.)
