4. No hotwater heater?

You don't have a gas hot water heater? That could do it. Or if any of your plumbing traps are dried out you could get methane in from them. say a underused toilet, sink or tub-shower anywhere near you in your house. Also your window being opened may have allowed air to come up from your garage or basement, so a winter of chemical fumes? Last item is just to check off the list.
