Cooking & Baking

Up and at 'em this morning and observing a colorful sunrise. No porch sitting to watch it as my old bones object to sitting in the cold.

Two fried eggs over easy
Toasted whole grain English muffin
Plenty of butter
Copious black coffee

Ducky decided to join me as I started to eat. I'm sure his nose knew much earlier what was cooking. I'm beginning to think he has transitioned from coming out for smells to waiting to hear the clinking of utensils. Perhaps he has figured out that sometimes we cook things and eat later. He licked the plate clean when I put it down with the last bites of egg and toast. Then, having no further use for me, simply exited the room and went back to bed. I guess he feels he's trained me well and I no longer need good dad praise.
