During the making of Beef Barley Soup today... [View all]

I went to get the veggies prepped, pulling out the celery it reminded me of a tip I wanted to share for quite awhile, storing celery in refrigerator.

This is an amazing way to keep celery fresh and crispy the stalks shown are approximately 2 weeks in the fridge.

How it looks in the fridge.

First give the base end a good clean cut to expose new root end…cut off the dry crap at the bottom but don’t cut into the stalks.

Wet a couple paper towels…not damp, wet…just before it starts to drip too much.

Wrap the towel up over the newly cut end and wrap completely in aluminum foil loosely but make sure it’s all enclosed like in the first picture.

That’s it!

I should’ve cleared off my wife’s wine glass my way of giving kudos to the National Champions….Michigan!
