5. Play the game, eventually you might get lucky.

When it's really bad I just pick weird hairs out of my face with the tweezers, play Freecell, or write useless 6502 code until my dogs demand I take them for their daily long walk.

But most of the time, thanks to modern meds, I'm more or less functional.

Some of my relatives never were. They lived in their own universes between very small apartments and the Circle-K, subsidized by family... not talking, watching ants on the trees on family picnics. Etc.

I watch ants too. I've established a treaty with the ant queens. They ants stay out of my kitchen but anything in the compost heap is theirs.
