4. Things, last night, went pretty smoothly

Well, except for wearing myself to a frazzle doing the cleaning and cooking, slicing open my thumb while dicing potatoes, getting some very powerful back and esophageal spasms (both stress related) that ended up with me urping up a good portion of my dinner. Other than that, things were fine. All of the food was wonderful and it was really nice to be reconciled with my late sister's husband, from whom I've been previously estranged.

My thumb is still bleeding, back spasms are lessened and I haven't thrown up any of today's food. The kid cats are giving me some wonderful snuggle time.

The last 10 years have been really rough. I lost my sister, mom, uncle, aunt and 4 of my cousins, 3 of which I was particularly close. Well, that and the convicted sex offender getting a second chance to destroy the country. I represent almost everything the incoming regime hates so I have no hope that my anxiety/depression will lessen.

I'm trying to keep my head up but it's really difficult. My kid cats do bring me a lot of joy, though, so I'll just concentrate on caring for them and letting them care for me. And, of course, I have immense appreciation for my DU friends. I don't know where I'd be without you all.
