If you recognize it very early on in the flashing, take a "cocktail" of caffeine, Tylenol, and aspirin.
It can often stop it in its tracks, causing the jagged lines to fragment or disappear, and stop the possible ensuing headache.
It sounds counterintuitive, since caffeine can help cause migraines, but once you are getting one, it is a positive.
