Tough day with Mom [View all]

She has dementia and is in a long term care facility. We decided to do that together about 5 months ago. Her dementia has progressed rapidly over the past month. She’s been having delusions and sometimes now she doesn’t trust me ( her primary carer).
Today she accused me of keeping my real occupation a secret and said she had been kidnapped and was being held against her will at the facility. She denied being my mother and made inappropriate sexual advances towards me.
All of this is to be expected from a dementia patient, but somehow I wasn’t prepared.
