3. She's beautiful and so is her hair

I started going grey when I was in my late teens. Aside from a short period of time when I used henna, I have been grey since my 30s. I am 61 now.

Since I've been dealing with grey hair for decades, this is a hot topic with me. I have seen women that look younger when they stop coloring their hair. There's something about it that lightens their faces - and maybe it's an attitude. I've been told I have been an inspiration for others to stop coloring. I am not special; I simply need to be my authentic self.

We need role models like this woman in the public sphere to show the world that grey hair can be beautiful and that growing old gracefully means doing the best with what you've got at any age rather than covering it up and pretending you're younger. I always said I've earned my grey hair. I celebrate it.
