11. my sister had a fairly large hemangioma removed from her cheek

when she was about a year old. It was done with radiology of some sort, and was fairly common back in the 1950s for removing birthmarks and so on.

Turns out the radiation treatments triggered thyroid cancer in adult life. So now she has a scan done every few years to check it out.
