3. A failure - depending from whose point of view

I know of an Alabama redneck who had a grimy little factory making plastic thingamajigs, mostly for the military.

When Dubya invaded Afghanistan, he struck contractor gold.

Th guy died a few years ago, leaving his wife what a gay realtor friend of mine would call a bodacious oceanview mansion in California (in a spot so incredible, I doubt the man even remembered 'Bama anymore).

She sold it about 4 years ago - top dollar.

Pretty sure she wouldn't call that war a failure.
