3. I have a small washing machine (Made in China) at my vacation shack.

It takes up about as much room as a dining room chair, but it has one hell of a spin cycle on it--the clothes come out "almost dry." It doesn't do a lot of stuff at once, but what it does do gets good and clean and dries fast because most of the water has been extracted. When we're there in the winter or wet months we just throw the stuff on a plastic hanger and hang it up--it dries in an hour or so.
