Trump's military actions against Venezuela and Iran have raised the importance of these countries' oil reserves, which are huge strategic assets. Potential oil reserves are closely monitored. Wars are fought over oil reserves; heads of state are abducted and assassinated. We worry and war over "chokepoints" for the world's oil supplies.

Does anyone pay much attention to the solar and wind "reserves" of individual countries? No?
