I look at my 2 credit cards and my checking account EVERY WEEK online, so I'm fully aware of what subscriptions I have. Yes, there are a couple of services that I wish I could suspend and resume seamlessly. Other than that, I don't see this as being a problem.

I'm not some kind of ring-ring-ring-a-ding-dong that isn't aware that I've been and am being charged for XYZ for years and years
But there apparently are a lot of people like that,

I support journalism and the newsletters are financial ones that I think are worthwhile (and none of them auto-renew, at the end of the one or two year subscription period I signed up for, I have to OPT IN to renew for another 1, 2, or 3 year term as I choose.).
