5. When an aircraft is chartered, the charter group interviews the applicants.

From what I understand, that is the norm.
Therefore, the group of applicants would be the United Airlines charter qualified flight attendant group.
The discrimination would then be related to the persons involved with the actual hiring process, and most likely would not necessarily be the airline itself, but the LA Dodgers hiring managers.

United could have advised the Dodgers staff however, that discrimination during the hiring process would be monitored, and that diversity in the selection should be a factor.
