1. What kind of dedication is that, having a substitute on hand?

I ditched a stock-bond hybrid income fund today, small investment, at a small loss. I just feel interest rates are headed higher and this fund will be cheaper again in a few months. Everything else went sideways, though Intel and KHC flopped.
