The battery is likely a CR 2032. It just pops out. The only trick is to make sure you don't pop the replacement in upside down. From your post it sounds like you've looked at your BIOS settings before. Before you install the new battery just go into the BIOS and take note of the settings. Recreate them after you install the new battery and before you let the system complete the startup of the operating system.

Thats all there is to it assuming your only issue is a weak battery.
