Storage Question: my PC, Tablet and smartphone are all connected... all via my Google account [View all]

So here's my question. My tablet only has 16G of storage and I'm always running out of space on it. I clear the cache which frees up a tiny bit of space. I've uninstalled apps I don't need on my tablet. So since it's all connected if I unlink my tablet from my Google account would it give me more storage and not fill up so quickly.

Is that how it works? Or am I way off? Just trying to figure out why my tablet is running out of space all the time.
