"IMPORTANT: ONLY report phone numbers that YOU have confirmed are scammers. If you report phone numbers to carriers that have fake caller IDs (known as phone number spoofing), the carrier will block you from doing any further reporting. You can verify that the number rings to a scammer by simply calling the number back to see if you can get the scammer on the phone. Thankfully, due to recent Federal laws it is getting harder and harder for scammers to spoof their caller ID!
Once you have verified that the number is NOT spoofed, then proceed with the 3 easy steps below:
1. Which telecom is providing the scammer their phone service: Use our carrier lookup tool. It is the ONLY 100% accurate carrier lookup tool in the world.
2. Email the telecom: In your email to the scammers phone carrier include what type of scammer you are reporting, such as Social Security Administration Scammer or Amazon Refund Scammer.
3. LAUGH! Likely the scammer has multiple phones on a single account you will succeed in shutting down THEIR ENTIRE ACCOUNT!"
I guess If I had one calling me over and over I might do it. But I have blocked so many phone numbers from scammers.
I once had a scammer call every 10 min for 3 hours. Each call number was different and when I answered, the recording about checking my account....for a bank I had no account in.... Came on. I blocked each number and of course they used another fake number each time.
I get at least 3 scam calls a day.... I meet the scammer victim criteria. I'm older, own my own farm, I still have a landline ( due to mountains blocking signals) and live among the guliable southern GOP voters.
Why can't illegal scammers just be stopped? Make it illegal to call you unsolicited. It worked when we had the no call list run by the federal government.
