This probably wont help, as it's regarding a vaguely remembered incident from months ago (though it seems like years) and I'm not at home to check for notes. So, fwiw:


The only time I tried to use my my HP Envy desktop's camera was for a Google-based Zoom type meeting. It wasn't working at first. After repeated tries with indications that it was working, it still actually wasn't. I finally found a suggestion online about setting the sound or video source or input to something different and that didn't seem right.

Changing that setting did the trick.

Seems like it was the sound source, though it would seem to be more reasonable that it was the video.

So, maybe you can glean a hint from that, though I doubt it, and hopefully some actual help comes to you from another DUer
