Does anyone have experience with T-Mobile "Binge On" video streaming? [View all]

It supposedly resamples "all detectable" video streams to 480p which is about the same quality as old-fashioned broadcast television.

I'm asking for someone who doesn't have many options for internet service -- no cable, no DSL, fixed income...

My wife and I have inexpensive and unlimited DSL in our home and we're happy with standard definition Netflix, possibly because our television isn't large and our eyes not 20/20.

My wife's parents live in a rural area and get all their phone and internet via an AT&T cell phone tower, but it's not cheap. Their only alternative is satellite. My parents live in a rural area as well but the local internet guru keeps them and all the neighbors connected. (He'd better not move away since he's also the local computer service guy. My parents never ask me about computer problems.)

I can connect to the internet on my cheap-ass cell phone plan but it's expensive, about $10 a gigabyte. That's not much use for television. I only use it for internet service when I travel.

Are any wireless internet service providers worthy? I know what works in my own community, but not elsewhere.
